Community first: Installing life-saving equipment in Eastbourne
We're proud to share that we've recently fitted a public access defibrillator at Asda Express petrol station, Cophall Roundabout in Polegate, free of charge as part of our ‘Community First’ programme. This essential equipment is a crucial part of our commitment to community safety and wellbeing.
At CDS Electrical, we understand the immense value of community welfare and safety. That's why we recently took a significant step towards enhancing the safety of our local community in Eastbourne. We're proud to announce the installation of a public access defibrillator at the Asda Express petrol station at Cophall Roundabout in Polegate, free of charge.
Defibrillators are essential in emergency situations, especially in public spaces. They can be the difference between life and death during cardiac arrest incidents. By making these devices more accessible, we aim to provide the community with the tools they need to save lives.
Clare Woolgar from the Polegate Defibs group played a crucial role in this initiative. She shared, "I’m extremely proud to have been part of the team responsible for installing the defibrillators in the town and am deeply grateful for the community support." Her dedication and hard work in coordinating this project have been instrumental in its success.
However, having a defibrillator available is only part of the solution. It's equally important for people to know how to use them. To address this, the Eastbourne Area Community First Responders are offering free training sessions in Polegate. These sessions will provide essential skills in using defibrillators and performing CPR, empowering more people to act confidently and effectively in emergencies.
