CDS Electrical now offering heat pump installations

We're excited to announce that CDS Electrical has expanded our services to include air source heat pump installations. Heat pumps are becoming a popular choice for homeowners seeking efficient, eco-friendly heating solutions. Here’s why opting for a heat pump can be a game-changer for your home.

Energy efficiency at its best

Heat pumps are renowned for their efficiency. Unlike traditional heating systems that generate heat by burning fuel, heat pumps simply transfer heat from outside air—even from temperatures as low as -15°C. This process requires significantly less electricity, making heat pumps one of the most energy-efficient home heating systems available today.

Cost-effective heating solution

Heat pumps can provide up to three times more heat energy than the electrical energy they consume. This remarkable efficiency translates into lower heating costs, offering long-term savings on your energy bills.

Environmentally friendly

As we all aim to reduce our carbon footprint, heat pumps present a more sustainable heating option. By utilising electricity and renewable heat sources, they produce significantly lower carbon emissions compared to conventional fossil-fuel-based heating systems.

Durability and low maintenance

Heat pumps are designed to have a long operational life, often ranging between 15 to 20 years. They are also generally easier to maintain than combustion-based heating systems, needing only periodic checks and regular filter changes to keep them running efficiently.

Government incentives

There is a government-funded grant of up to £7,500 to offset the cost of installing an air pump. If a customer can demonstrate they have cavity wall and adequate loft insulation via an Energy Performance Certificate they are likely to be eligible for the government funding. Even properties which cannot have cavity wall insulation installed can still access the grant funding if a Chartered Surveyor can provide an exclusion certificate.
